In September 2024, according to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), 19, 911,264 KWh were produced by 177 preferential producers of electricity from renewable sources in the country, which represents an increase of 65,7 % compared to September 2023.

Additionally, 5,357,735 KWh were produced by 91 small hydropower plants, 1,407,824 KWh by 79 photovoltaic solar power plants, 9,762,368  KWh by two wind power plants, and 3,383,337  KWh by five biogas and biomass thermal power plants.

The share of electricity produced by preferential producers from renewable sources was 5,93 %.

The total installed capacity of preferential electricity producers from renewable sources is 177,642 MW.
