MEMO and Elektromreža Serbia collaborate on strengthening Guarantees of Origin mechanisms

Today, expert teams from the National Electricity Market Operator- МЕМО and AD Elektromreža Srbije held a productive working meeting, focusing on the introduction of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) — electronic proof for consumers that energy comes from renewable sources.
AD Elektromreža Srbije shared valuable insights from years of experience in issuing Guarantees of Origin (GOs). Soon, MEMO will begin issuing these certifications in line with European standards, supporting domestic companies as they expand into the European market.

As part of this initiative, MEMO has joined the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) as a scheme observer, promoting transparency and standardization in the energy sector across Europe.
