
According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in February 2025, 587 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 574 GWh. ESM contributed the largest share with 323 GWh (56.3%), followed by independent producers with 174 GWh (30.3%), virtual producers with 48 GWh (8.3%), and preferential producers using a preferential electricity tariff with 29 GWh (5.1%).
The share of domestic electricity production in net consumption is 97.6%.
